The people from Scandinavia known as the “Vikings” were infamous male raiders, pirates, and pillagers– or so contemporary popular culture has often led us to believe! But who were these people in reality? And what relevance do the Vikings have for our world today? In this course, we will examine the history of the Vikings through #archaeology and historical and scientific approaches. There are no prerequisites for this course, nor any expectations of prior knowledge related to the course content.
