The required texts include autobiographical texts, a formal theological text, and polemical essays. They are The Confessions by Augustine, Summa Theologiae (selections) by Thomas Aquinas, The Babylonian Captivity, and The Freedom of the Christian by Martin Luther and The Interior Castle by Teresa of Avila.
