The TOE Online is an electronic version and searchable database of the Thesaurus of Old English first published by King’s College London (1995). Users are able to search using Old English words and phrases and modern English words. Users can also browse the database.

This site offers access to three major Middle English electronic resources: a Middle English Dictionary, a HyperBibliography of Middle English prose and verse, and a Corpus of Middle English Prose and Verse.

Luminarium: Anthology of Middle English Literature

Part of a larger site on English Literature, this useful section on Middle English offers links to a variety of online texts (e.g. plays and lyrics) and authors (e.g. Geoffrey Chaucer, John Gower, William Langland, Margery Kemp, etc.). Also provided are essays, introductory information, bibliographies, and lists of other relevant sources of Middle English Literature.

TEAMS Middle English Texts Online

This site makes available Middle English texts that occupy an important place in the literary and cultural canon but which have not been readily available in student editions. Users can view texts either individually or as volumes; each text is provided with an extensive introduction and the body of each text includes definitions and notes.
