The Medieval Studies program at the University of British Columbia hosts a vibrant interdisciplinary community of students and leading researchers on the global medieval and early modern world. We offer undergraduate major and minor degrees in Medieval Studies.

Our program features a community of over 70 faculty members and instructors across the UBC departments of Anthropology, Art History, Visual Art & Theory (AHVA), Asian Studies, Economics, English, French, Hispanic, & Italian Studies (FHIS), History, Philosophy, and the School of Journalism and the School of Music. Their leading research, teaching, and community involvement have been internationally recognized.

Located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), we are a community of faculty members, practitioners, students, research and support staff, all working together to advance the study and understanding of global medieval and early modern societies and the relevance of this past in the present day.
