Pilgrims and Pilgrimage

This site, created by the University of York, is devoted to the theme of pilgrims and pilgrimage. Though the focus is pilgrimage within the Christian tradition (its historical and contemporary manifestation), pilgrimages in faiths and cultures worldwide are also addressed. Users are provided with explanatory texts (connected to an extensive glossary of relevant terms), images, and a bibliography (with both primary and secondary sources).
